Combe Summer Miles & Smiles

Summary

As you know, we aim to please DB Maxers... You asked for a warm 10k at Castle Combe and so, we've included one in our brand new summer event! 

Our Combe Summer Miles and Smiles event will be a sizzing summer special - the ultimate evening of traffic-free running at the venue DB Max are synonymous with. A super-smooth, flat and fast surface providing a perfect PB opportunity for all.

Choose from a 10k, a 3k or a 1 mile run, or a combination of all three and be part of our action-packed evening in July.

All three courses will be officially measured, UKA affiliated races, with live results and featuring on runbritain Rankings and the Power of 10. Live results provided by DB Max Sports Timing.

As ever with DB Max events, the runs will be suitable for beginners and elite athletes alike.

Venue:

This event is run from the Westway entrance (not the main entrance). It will be clearly signposted.

Parking

Parking is in the field at Westway. Please park as directed by the marshals.

Registration Opens: 5.15pm

Warming Up

Competitors are welcome to warm up on the track once access is granted at about 6pm.

Entry Fees & Start Times: 

• Summer 10k Entry: Affiliated £22, unaffiliated £24
• Summer 3k Entry: Affiliated £5, unaffiliated £7
• Max Mile Entry: Free to enter

PLEASE NOTE: ***To prevent duplicate entries, all  athletes who register for the 10k & 3k events will automatically be entered into the Max Mile for free. However, if you don't want to run it, the system will automatically remove you from the race list on the night. Please only submit an entry to the Max Mile if it the only race you plan to run.***

The Course:

The 1-mile route will be the same as the Easter Max Mile starting and finishing out of Westway just after the Bobbies chicane. The route will continue down the Dean Straight, around Camp Corner up to a turn point at Folly where runners will turn in an anticlockwise direction back up the pit lane, through the pits and re-join the track going in the opposite direction up Dean Straight to the Start/ Finish Point.

The 3k route will be the same as the Easter 3k. One lap of the circuit, starting and finishing out of Westway in a clockwise direction, including a section through the pit area of the circuit.

The 10k route will start with an initial section to a turn-point, before taking runners back to the start/finish area, with a further three full laps to complete the course.

Live results including lap splits and leaderboard will be available to view on smartphones at DB Max Sports Timing (dbmaxresults.co.uk).
